Welcome to Ike’s Quarter Cafe
Thank you for joining us. Our cuisine is that of Louisiana. New Orleans to be specific. We chose New Orleans because the food is warm, tasty, and delicious. We also chose New Orleans because it is a melting pot, with a cajun foundation, and diverse ethnic contributions. The food is delicious from the first bite to the last. To quote a famous chef from New Orleans by the name of Paul Prudomme, “When the taste changes with every bite, and the last bite is as good as the first, that’s cajun, and that’s Louisiana cooking.” Now we are not from Louisiana, nor are we cajun. We do love food though, and when a meal warms a person from the belly to the toes that’s magic.
Please keep in mind, that real food takes time.
We are very conscious of food quality and of the environment. We use free range naturally raised meats (with no nitrates), organic eggs, organic grains, organic flours, organic dairy, organic vegetables, and non-radiated spices. We make all of our own organic breads. All of the to-go containers and cutlery are biodegradable and recyclable. We use local organic produce. We firmly believe that good quality food and the attitude in which it is prepared makes for a happy belly. We strive to make tasty food with something for everyone.
